SEO Sunshine Coast, QLD

Have you ever wondered how many articles and blog post are being published online every single day? If we only consider WordPress users alone we see an amazing 2,000,000 post being published every day. Which equates to 24 articles every SECOND!

The internet is flooded with articles and blog posts on any subject imaginable. To make the matter even more complicated there are hundred of thousands of articles written on the same subject.

Google seems to have an answer for every question you ask, for every topic you are interested in as well as being able to put you in touch with the business that seems to be the best match for your search query.

I am sure you have been told that writing articles on topics you specialise in is the way to put your website in front of potential customers. ‘Write articles and they will come’ – they say. But is this enough considering the amount of articles and content being put up online every day?

This is exactly where SEO comes in. It is not enough to just put content up and hope for the best. If you want your website to succeed you must optimise it.

SEO Explained

To understand this a little better when it comes to Search Engine Optimisation: there’s you (the owner of the website), the search engine (Google or others I mentioned above), and the searcher.

I have mentioned 8 different search engines, now think about this, on any given day, there are more than 3.5 billion searches conducted on Google, 122.8 million searches on Bing, and 340 million searches on Yahoo, not to mention Chinese search engine Baidu that gets 1.54 billion searches!

Ok, it seems we love to search online. But what we also love is to get the best and most relevant results when we search.

Ranking on top of the list

Can you see how important is to show up on the first page of Google? This can be the deciding factor between a business that’s thriving and one that’s failing even if they provide very similar services or products.

It seems there are enormous benefits to ranking on the top of search engines results lists. The higher the better. Studies indicate that 72% of searches resulted in a page 1 Google Organic click. Page two and three only get 6% of clicks. On the first page alone, the first five results account for 68% of all the clicks and the results from 6 to 10 account for only 3.73%.

Surprised?

You shouldn’t be, just think about how you search and what you do when you see the results in front of you. Do you ever go to another page? Studies indicate that searcher will more likely change their search query rather than going to the second page, not to mention third page. They would rather change their search keywords or click on an ad.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how important it is to optimise your website and have it ranking on the first page for organic search results. As I said the higher the better.

Let’s say I want to rank for the phrase ‘SEO Sunshine Coast‘ and ‘Web Design Sunshine Coast‘ so I attract local customers to purchase my SEO as well as Website Design packages. I have written an article on the subject and now I want Google to favour my content and show it at the top of the search. The best way to do this is using Search Engine Optimisation techniques and tactics.

SEO Ranking Factors

There are some 200 factors that will determine how you rank. Some are proven, some are a bit more controversial, others are just speculations but they all should be considered. These are the groups of factors that will determine your organic rankings:

  • Domain Factors
  • Page-Level Factors
  • Site-Level Factors
  • Backlink Factors
  • User Interaction
  • Special Google Algorithm Rules
  • Brand Signals
  • On-Site Webspam Factors
  • Off-Site Webspam Factors

You probably have heard that there are two ways to do SEO, white hat and black hat practices. I only really engage in white hat practices and rarely consider doing the opposite. But as you might suspect it’s not as black and white as it seem. There is also gray hat SEO, it’s the little murky area between white and black hat practices.

White Hat SEO vs Black Hat SEO

You probably have heard that there are two ways to do SEO, white hat and black hat practices. I only really engage in white hat practices and rarely consider doing the opposite. But as you might suspect it’s not as black and white as it seem. There is also gray hat SEO, it’s the little murky area between white and black hat practices.

On-site SEO & off-site SEO

When it comes to SEO, there are two broad categories, on-site SEO and off-site SEO. On-page SEO is all the work you do and techniques you use on the page you are trying to optimise, such as images, content, headers, page structure were as off-page SEO is all the variables that search engines like Google consider and these are not always directly dependent on you.

Both these categories are important and both need to be considered if you want to succeed in your SEO efforts. I usually start with in-house cleaning. I figure there is no point bringing in all this traffic only to find that they immediately leave your website which in turn will probably increases your bounce rate.

1. CONTENT

Possibly the most important SEO factor of all. This will require some effort on your part. Better more in depth quality content increases visitor engagement and Google rankings. Importance of Quality Content. But as usual with SEO, quality content is not all that needs to be considered, think headline research, keyword research and the use of keywords in a natural way. Always focus on the reader and seamlessly integrate your keywords a few times. Make it fresh or refresh already existing articles and blog posts. Write clearly and consider answering questions as you go. The main thing to focus on when writing articles is the ‘search intent’ of the searcher.

2. HTML

This is where my website designing skills come into play. Ask yourself is the SEO Agency you are considering to hire to conduct your monthly SEO Services a specialist in HTML or website building? It is very hard to believe they can actually do a good and thorough job optimising your website if they are not. There are multiple areas that need attention, Title Tags, Headings and subheadings, Meta Descriptions & Schema. I offer introductory SEO with every website I create. Find out more on how important is Introductory SEO for your new website.

3. Website Architecture & User Experiance

This is probably one of the most technical parts of the on-page SEO category and there are a couple of things to keep in mind.
Good website architecture leads to a greater user experience. It focuses on things like fast loading times, a safe connection and the mobile responsiveness of your website design. Consider how easy is it to crawl, if you have keywords in url’s as well the a secure connection to your site (HTTPS and SSL Certificates).

After I am satisfied with my on-page SEO efforts I would move on to my off-site SEO, here are several of things to consider.

1. TRUST

Trust is measured by Google with something called PageRank and TrustRank. There are four parts to building trust:

  • Authority – measured by Domain Authority and Page Authority
  • Bounce rate
  • Domain age
  • Identity of your brand or person

2. BACKLINKS.

There are a couple of factors to consider when asking or looking for ways to link back to your website. The most important is the quality of links, and the links from brand new sites. These are often worth more than repeat links from existing websites but links from older established sites can be worth even more. What kind of anchor text is use when the link is created and its number.

4. PERSONAL

Decide if your content is relevant to only one county or multiple and mark your website accordingly. Adding a City will help if you want to rank in that particular location. Keep in mind your site might come up if the searcher already visited your site previously as Google thinks it is most relevant.

5. SOCIAL PLATFORMS

How to Recognise An Expert SEO Company on the Sunshine Coast

It’s not enough to have a professional-looking website loaded with quality content. If your visitor-to-client conversion rate is low, then your website is not meeting today’s demands. In which case, you may need some help.

Getting an SEO Expert to enhance your site’s visibility becomes vital.

But hey, not all who claim to be SEO experts actually meet the prime qualities of modern-day SEO.

First, an experienced SEO expert will learn what your business goals are, and your plan to get an online audience.

They’ll now proceed to build result-oriented strategies to boost your search engine rankings and page views.

Depending on what’s best for you or your online business, SEO company provides standard SEO processes for small, medium, and large businesses.

Sunshine Coast SEO expert may recommend remedies such as rewriting your HTML tags, or other technical solutions to issues that inhibit search engine bots from crawling and indexing your content and attracting premium links from domains and websites of higher ranking.

SEO Consultant Company Sunshine Coast QLD

But here are a few things you should identify when looking for a good SEO agency:

1. Years of experience

A lot of SEO consultants came onboard when page rankings and domain strength were vital in Google Search. However, not all of these SEO gurus know what works, especially now that so much of Google’s algorithm ranking is impacted by different dynamic factors rising every day. What this implies is that yesterday’s strategy may not hold sway in recent online marketing. This is what only a good SEO expert will know based on years of experience.

Again, an experienced SEO expert will know that each website should have a unique SEO strategy since businesses require different strategies. Plus, they will know what to do to increase search engine traffic. On the other hand, an SEO newbie may use the same techniques on all websites; this could have less results and go as far as damaging the rankings of the website.

2. Technical knowledge

An expert SEO company understands all levels in SEO. How? Search engine optimisation requires three key elements:

  • Coding – The structure of your website defines the ease or difficulty with which search engines crawl and index your content.
  • On-page optimisation – using keywords and tags in the right way can boost search engine traffic to the website
  • Off-page optimisation – Building links, for example, is still the prime authority signal for search engines.

These 3 essentials have to be perfectly combined in the right proportion, as some may be more vital than others for a successful SEO strategy. It is only a good SEO expert that will know the right combination while recommending the use of the three. Also, an expert SEO company should know the technical problems of your website and be able to communicate clearly to your website developers so that these problems are reduced. Note that all other SEO efforts will be futile if a search engine cannot have access to all your website content.

3. Good reporting

When it comes to communicating, an SEO expert must be able to provide an easy to understand, monthly report of all you need to know while working with you. For instance, they should tell you in plain terms why a change to your website is needed, so that everybody from top to bottom understands, especially in medium to large scale businesses. Besides, the present working condition of your website is based on decisions that were made in the past. So, faulting all tactics may not go down well with those who had previously worked on the process, and it could lead to an unhealthy working relationship.

A good search engine optimisation specialist will know how to manage human resources effectively to the primary aim that your business becomes better than it is presently.

4. Transparency

There are several tools your SEO expert will require to enable them enhance your website visibility. These include tools that show domain rankings, where to list your website directories, and which keyword rank better than others to determine the content type. A great SEO expert will ensure clients have access to all reports, stats, and tools they use.

To monitor your competitors, SEMrush is a great tool. Want to check backlinks? Ahrefs is appropriate. For content-driven strategy, MOZ is a suitable tool. Your SEO professional should know all these tools and more, and explain how they work to you.

5. Guarantee

There is a lot online about which SEO technique is the best for your business. Most interestingly, SEO newbies will be learning from these blog posts and applying them to your business. It’s not bad at all, because that’s the same way SEO experts learnt about the dynamics of search engine marketing. But a good SEO consultant will not assure you of quick results since SEO may or may not work for your business straight away. They will rather tell you the positive impact their strategies had on previous businesses with time and how yours may require some patience to see fantastic results.

6. Specialist and staying on top of the SEO industry news

Your digital marketing strategy should include SEO! Any strategy aims to achieve certain results within a measured time; otherwise, all attempts will fail. Do you have an SEO company that understands your company goals and how to achieve them? What do you want from your SEO: conversions, or to raise your webpages within search engine results pages (SERP)? Do you even want an SEO that boosts the strength of your domain?

A top SEO professional handles digital marketing with professionalism, and that includes an experience in inbound marketing — which focuses on different types of content creation that is relevant to share, attract a lot of links, and boost search traffic — social media marketing, email marketing, CPC, and other channels. Also, search engine optimisation is changing every day so, when you have an SEO specialist working with you, they should be able to develop new trends that may be different from their original advice, which could change the algorithm of the search engine, and change everything all of a sudden.

Exceptional SEO Expert Sunshine Coast QLD have the drive to learn new strategies, find alternatives and apply them. This shows that growing your business is actually their target. When searching for an SEO expert, don’t neglect marketing consultancies, as they will have in-house SEO specialists that can perform SEO and other relevant services. For search engine optimisation in Australia, feel free to contact SunCoast Media.

7. White hat practices

A good SEO expert will be able to use tactics, techniques, and optimisation strategies to increase the number of visitors to your website; human audience rather than search engines, within the boundaries of search engine rules and policies. A good SEO specialist will support ethical SEO rather than grey hat SEO which uses technical legal methods that are ethically dubious to boost site rankings. Besides grey hat SEO can turn into black hat SEO, which increases higher search rankings while breaking search engine rules.

8. No contracts

A good SEO company will work for you on a no-contract basis. This is because SEO is not a guarantee straight away; it works with time. But a reliable company will be transparent enough to admit and leave if your business is not growing. Some SEO agencies sometimes use contracts as a revenue-generating strategy, especially those that aren’t committed to getting results, because it’s a guarantee they’ll be on your paylist for the duration of the contract.

Besides, you can get a better result without an SEO contract as your SEO company will do all they can to drive results and keep your sales leads growing. Another benefit of a no-contract SEO is that you own everything. And if your SEO expert isn’t delivering results, you can conveniently switch to a better SEO agency like SEO Sunshine Coast for a better result. Would the…

… Bottom line

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is good for online business, and it’s a long-term investment. Note that you may or may not see results straight away. Unprofessional SEO agencies are still thriving because they’re go uncovered for a long time.

So, are you considering building your business, or redesigning your website? It’s important you understand what to look out for in a great SEO provider. Plus they should be able to understand the goal of your business.

Still finding SEO confusing or time-consuming, get in touch with us at SunCoast Media and let’s discuss your needs. Our team will always be glad to talk to you.
